VOTING INFORMATION FOR THE NOVEMBER 5, 2024 GENERAL ELECTION

EARLY VOTING

Early voting will take place in one centralized location in Wethersfield beginning on October 21st, 14 days before the general election on November 5th. Electors will be able to vote from 10am to 6pm all days, except the Tuesday (October 29th) and Thursday (October 31st) prior to the election, when early voting will be available from 8am to 8pm. Early voting will end November 3rd, the Sunday before the election.

 

When you arrive at the Early Voting location, you will receive your ballot with an envelope after checking in and being verified as an eligible voter. You will fill out your ballot at a privacy booth and seal it in the approved envelope. Before you leave, you will place the sealed envelope in the secure receptacle as instructed by the election administrator. Ballots will not be opened and counted until Election Day. 

VOTE BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
You can vote by Absentee Ballot due to your absence from town, sickness (yours, someone you are caring for, or sickness in the community), disability, active military service, or for religious reasons.

It’s easy- 4 Steps!

1. Apply for an Absentee Ballot application at https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS/Election-Services/Voter-Information/Absentee-Voting or in the Town Clerks office.

2. Submit your Application, in-person or by mail. 

3.Vote your Ballot as soon as it's received. 
4. Return your Absentee Ballot, in-person, to a drop box, or by mail.


VOTE AT THE POLLS
If you wish to vote in person, the polls are open from 6am to 8pm on Tuesday, November 8th. You can check your Polling location at https://portaldir.ct.gov/sots/lookup.aspx.
